Gothic 3 is a Role-Playing Game.
You play a no-name character (also know as “The hero”) who walks about in a land with magic, swords, guilds and un-explainable creatures. You are helped by a Necromancer, also known as “Xardas”. Xardas is some like your mentor. Together with some friends you made in the past, you can handle any given quest.
The great thing about Gothic is its freedom. You can do and leave things when you like, where you like.
You can steal things from houses or help out as an apprentice. You can hunt fearless creatures like: Scavengers, Shadowbeasts, Molerats, Wolves, Orcs and even huge Trolls. And along the way you can choose your path, do you want to be a noble knight? A powerful magician? Maybe a careless rogue? Or something else maybe.
Gothic I and II where great successes because of its freedom and versatility.
The story runs from Gothic I up to III. Your former friends will be in the third version again.
And the previous accomplishments of Gothic I and II echoes in the narrow streets and high mountains of Myrtana.
